At Rapha Healing, we understand that finding the right person to speak with is an important part of the therapeutic journey. You are welcome to choose the practitioner you feel most comfortable working with for individual sessions. For couples therapy, sessions are usually facilitated by both Trevor and Bernadette together, subject to availability.

Co‑Founder & Trauma‑Informed Social Worker
Dip Social Work BA Hon. in Social Work
Bernadette is an experienced Social Worker whose practice is grounded in trauma‑informed care and a strong commitment to safeguarding children and young people. Throughout her career she has developed extensive experience supporting individuals and families affected by trauma, abuse, and disrupted attachments.
She has specialist experience working with victims of sexual violence through roles as an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and Crisis Support Worker within a Sexual Assault Referral Centre. In these roles she supported children and young people through complex and sensitive situations, ensuring their voices, choices, and wellbeing remained central throughout safeguarding and criminal justice processes.
Bernadette has also worked extensively within adoption, fostering, special guardianship, and children's guardianship. Since 2013 she has represented the wishes and feelings of children in both private and public law proceedings, advocating for their rights and ensuring their perspectives are clearly heard.
Her work is rooted in compassion, respect, and a deep belief that when people feel safe, supported, and understood, healing and positive change become possible.
